Parents currently have 2 O2 Online contracts.

Getting 50 mins and 25 texts.

Mum is after a Nokia 6280 and needs 100 mins and 100 texts.

Dad is after a Nokia 6233 and needs 100 mins and 25 texts.

O2 retentions wanted £100 for the phones even though a new customer can have them for free  but keeping their numbers is a vital thing so that is out of the question.

Was looking at orange but they want £60 for the phones or so but can give 100 mins and 100 texts for £20 a month.

Just wondering if anyone has any good sites or would an orange shop be the best place to go?

Thanks,

Andy

EDIT: Forgot to say that it must be a 12 month contract.

Can you go upto £25 per month if so, check out the carphone warehouse site, both the NOKIA 6233 and the 6280 are free on the O2 25(12 Month) tariff thats 125x-net mins, 100 texts.

And you can get your PAC number from O2 and move to CPW O2 as carphone does their own billing for O2, big advantage is that your folks know the reception quality of O2.

Hope that helps

It sounds like they'd both be better on pay as you go. The free allowance you get with the online sims could cover that alone and O2 should allow them to change their sims to pay as you go. They could then just buy the phones.

So how would that work out cheaper.

£20 a month is £240 a year.

£10 a month on PAYG is £120 then £120 for a phone.

They want phones that cost £200+ so a contract is the way to go to be honest.

Don't think i would ever touch carphonewarehouse with their billing. I've had some many people come in with problems due to carphone not actually controlling any matters, they always try to blame o2 even though o2 can't do anything while its a CPW issue. As a customer you get stuck in limbo.
