2 options for new build!

I would strongly suggest against relying on the 790GX integrated graphicis (ATI HD 3300) for you gaming needs. If you look at this review, that is what the chipset can achieve at 1440x900 resolution with AA and AF off (the specific CoH settings are actually shown on the page).

Oh ok so i should go for the 8800gts or something similar after all lol.

Yes, a 8800GTS is still a good card, earlier on I was showing how it performed in comparison to a HD 4850. Compared to a HD 3300 - the 88800 GTS is MUCH more powerful.

Can get a 8800gts 320mb for £27...Good buy?

Pretty sweet deal TBH. It will run CoH very well at high resolutions with most (if not all) the details turned up.

Yeh im gonna go for it i think :)....Yeh it is £27 delivered......
Ok now it turns out that the Phenom isnt going to work out i dont think as it is in Australia atm and i dunno if i should risk sending it or even how much it will cost.

I recently posted a Hard disk to a friend in Austrailia - and it cost £17 for air mail . However, the price went down to around £10 for a lower weight. If the air mail cost is similar going the other way -then it won't be too expensive. However, if there is a decent chance that it won't work -I would suggest looking elsewhere for a CPU.

Well is it possible to get damaged while in transit eg static etc or ? Because im unsure if i should just stick to the dual core i have.

Ok, I think i will just get the motherboard i wanted, the ram and then see what comes up then if something doesnt i can just grab a cpu and then go or if something does then just grab that and sell my stuff.

I think you should just hound the MM, untill someone else posts a pc split sale/complete sale

+1 for this.

There have been some fantastic deals recently. If you get in early on one of those then you may get an awesome deal (like the guy who paid £200 for that E8400 system).

Ok so my final spec is:4850e Dual Core,DFI Lanparty 790gx,4gb ram,8800gt=£137

Sounds very nice. The CPU may hold you back a bit in games, but it should tide you over until a sweet deal on a CPU turns up.

Yeh i am thinking that but i dont wanna miss out on the deal for the motherboard on MM,and the cpu/ram/another mobo on MM which im buying....The motherboard that comes with the cpu etc is a Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H...Maybe its worth just keeping that and not getting DFI?

That doesn't look encouraging, it does seem a bit wierd as other 125W Phenom X4 chips are supported like the 9750.

However, did you not say that the motherboard is coming with a CPU? Is this CPU the Phenom X4, or something else entirely?
