Recently got my daughter a fairly decent PC (capable of 4k gaming) and i would like to find 2 player games, ideally FPS but open minded, and ideally with a half decent story to it.

Ideally don't want an MP game as she gets upset when people kill her :D

how old is she?

tomb raider guardian of light / temple of osiris
gears of war
orcs must die
ghost recon wildlands / break point
The division 1 / 2
borderlands 1 / 2 / 3 / others!!!
war frame
aliens fireteam
deep rock galactic
dead space 3
dead rising 3
dying light
dead island 1/2
Trine 1/2/3/4
castle crashers
torchlight 2
van helsing
dungeon defenders
strange brigade
titan quest
any of the lego games
ember knights
minecraft dungeons

that is all i can think of for now ;)

I have made it a 'thing' with my boy that we play local co-op games (i.e. sat next to each other on a single machine) over the holidays when I have time off work. Not FPS but It Takes Two is incredible. We completed Sackboy last week, more difficult than ITT and the story isn't anywhere near as good, however it was still very good and lots of fun. I can't recommend It Takes Two enough. We are planning to give Unravel 2 a go next week but I'm struggling to find any more games that are similar to ITT. I know about A Way Out but at seven years old it's not age appropriate.

Warhammer rts and build a base, you can play co-op against computer.
Civ6 same as above you can team up, but it’s a long burner to learn to play this game well. You could start at easiest level though.
