2 player PC game

you have some really great suggestions already, i'll throw in (these should be age appropriates):
minecraft
Palworld
stardew valley
Raft
factorio
Dungeon Defendors
deep rock galactic
demeo

Bro force
Platesup!
Dont starve togeather
keep talking and no one explodes
Lego games
Project zomboid
Zero-K

some others :
Divinity 2 original sin
humans fall plat
left for dead 1/2
magicka 1/2
overcooked 1/2 - im not a fan of the movement style my self

sort of split to the ones i think you want to focus on in order, others have suggested really gret games as well.
at 11 its difficult to gauge what/were a game series may work not. its a great age to do stuff with them though :)
i am always interested in what they play at that age so let us know what you end up picking togeather.

I have made it a 'thing' with my boy that we play local co-op games (i.e. sat next to each other on a single machine) over the holidays when I have time off work. Not FPS but It Takes Two is incredible. We completed Sackboy last week, more difficult than ITT and the story isn't anywhere near as good, however it was still very good and lots of fun. I can't recommend It Takes Two enough. We are planning to give Unravel 2 a go next week but I'm struggling to find any more games that are similar to ITT. I know about A Way Out but at seven years old it's not age appropriate.

Me and my boy done this, really enjoyed it takes 2, but we got stuck on the 4th boss and tried it so many times, the boy got fed up and didn't want to play any more.. ended up reverting back to Lego star wars for a bit and now he just wants to play his single player stuff

Maybe give it a while and try going through the game again? It is difficult when they lose interest though. Mine got bored of Overcooked 2 very quickly. We completed Unravel 2 since I made that post and it was really enjoyable, much shorter than ITT and Sackboy and very different but still lots of fun. Although it both hurt and impressed when he occassionally worked out what to do/the puzzle faster than I did. :D
