Hi,

This is probably an unusual monitor request.

can anyone recommend a suitable monitor for viewing X-Ray images. This will be used in a Dental Practice. I guess I'm looking for the best monitor you can get for image quality, viewing angles and grayscale for around the £200-£250 mark. Response time will not be required as the monitor will be used for viewing still images only.

20" model is the ideal size.

Dell 2007WFP would be perfect. That panel basically formed the basis of the Eizo CG211, pretty much the staple reference screen of the entire photo/retouch/prepress industry!

Given the budget and usage I think the Dell 2007WFP would fit the bill perfectly.

I also recommend the Dell 2007WFP, although I don't think you can buy them new from retailers any more. You should be able to get a second hand A04 for around £120 though. I have an A04, and the image quality and viewing angles are excellent.

Thanks for the replies.

I should have added that 2nd hand is not an option as I need 18 x Monitors.

thanks for the recommendations. Does the Dell 2007WFP have an immediate replacement or shall I try and focus on this model.

18? Oh. Lol. Yes that may be a bit of a pain. There is somewhere on a well known auction site with "more than 10 available" stated for stock. Bang on low end of the budget too, not to mention an undoubted discount if they have 18 and you buy that many!

You have the Dell U2211H, 21.5'', £235, IPS panel, anti-glare. Also the Dell 2209WA, 22'' lower resolution but 16:10, so could better for your purpose, depending on your images.

We use Dell U2211H for work. Sturdy, wide viewing angle, anti-glare, nice to work with.
