I currently have a (self OC) MSI N470GTX Twin Forzr II which is showing its age, so I am after a little boost.

As you can see my specs are a little dated, so I don't want waste unnecessary money on performance that will bottlenecked by other components, say if I buy for example a 760 2 GB.

Budget: £200 or a little higher.

I of course am not expecting to run BF4, Metro: LL or Crysis 3 maxed out.

Code:
CPU:
i3 530 @ 2.93 OC to 4.20 GHz
Clarkdale 32nm

MEM:
8 GB
CORSAIR XMS3 2 x 2 GB DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 CL9 Memory Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) [B]x2 [/B]
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 764MHz (9-9-9-28)

MOBY:
GA-H55M-UD2H (rev. 1.3) (Socket 1156)

SSD:
OCZ-VERTEX4 60 GB

PSU:
Corsair GS600

If all is good which 760 overclocks the best?

Just get the cheapest 760 tbh.

They dont produce much heat really. You can get a windforce 760 for £199 which is a decent price and a great cooler.

Id of thought that overclocking wont gain you much more performance as id imagine the cpu would bottleneck a little but its better the cpu be bottle necked than the gpu not being able to cope.

270X for around 155 is a much better choice than 760 for 200.

for 200+ you should look at 280X on offer, but you should be looking at CPU upgrade asap.

Got a 2nd hand i5 760 on the way.

What are you thoughts on the MSI Radeon R9 280X?

I was reading it had high VRM temps.
