2000m 'power row' challenge

I tried rowing for the first time during a summer a couple of years ago. The best time I got down to after a couple of month's effort was 7:06.

I was 30 at the time, 180cm and ~75kg.
 
My gym has just put up a similar challenge so I'll be giving this a go again. Looking back on my old Concept2 log, the quickest 2km I did was 7:20.7.

I've not touched a rowing machine in the gym for a few years now so that'll take some beating!
