2002 Audi A6 Stereo Replacement

I have recently bought a 2002 Audi A6 and would like to replace the factory stereo with my Sony unit. I have found the required fascia but I cannot find any info on whether or not I will be needing an ISO adaptor cable to plug into the Sony harness.

Has anyone had an experience with changing an A6 stereo?

Also, this is a non-Bose system.

IIRC if will just plug into new harness without the need for an adapter.

Yes the lead that goes into the back of the stereo is an ISO lead, and will just plug straight into a new one as most HU's are supplied with ISO connectors as standard.
