Ralf looked very unwilling to drive that Toymota at any speed.
Alonso is certainly faster than most of the wet runners. hell..he's still on the track which is a start.

The cars look abysmal in the wet. Not just the lower cars - all of them. The look like they're handling like Mondeo's with crates under the rear wheels...

bloody interesting qualifying session, could tell the love for ferrari when they said about schumi getting his believed to be wets, sayin luckily for schumacher he got the signal just in time :D

will be a really interesting race and if the renault has no reliability issues from his position fisichella seems where the smart money should go!

My bet for the race, assuming the car holds together is Kimi. Don't know why. Just have this feeling.

Schumacher Snr though will collect a decent amount of points though I think. Enough for them not to worry too much about using the old car for a few races.

.......... but who knows what will happen. Wonder what the weather will be too.

Yup.

Did I laugh when MS was sliding all over the place. Oh yes. :D Oh..he's the rainmaster.

Vielleneuve was just as bad - although he was on a damp track with slicks - but that is no excuse really.

Sato - D'oh!!! What more do I need to say...

Only couple of people I was impressed with this session:
Raikkonen - amazing car control.
Webber - Nailed it. Was lucky - but a fantastic showing for the first session.
Karthikeyan - First qualifying session - it was wet. kept it on the black and even out qualified championchip hopefuls.
Finally - Fisichella. Perfect timing. Fantastic lap, car looked well connected.

Just done a quick bit of guestimation - with the times posted yesterday - MS could be looking at...maybe..16th place... :D

Buggerritt - time for me to get 3 hours sleep before the missus wakes me up to go do something pointless in town.

The Toyota looks..difficult. I think It's really a lot slower than the positions indicate. It was on a damp track - on intermediates. If it had coninued to dry he probably would have ended up 10-12th.

The wet/dry/wet track has messed it up a lot. There's no real indication of the real speeds of the cars really.

We will get a better idea later today with the fuel load on board. We'll have a much better idea tomorrow - after the race. :D

 Flibster, your F1 crazy man :p Great stats.

I watched it live too, as the comentators said, Macca looked absolutely pathetic out there and i really feel sorry for him. As for schuey, HAHA, proves even the pro's can screw up and that hes human just like everyone else. As for the new comers, i think they did a fantastic job for none of them to spin out. Looking forward to the race tonight now :) Gonna be watching it live

Just watched the Qualifying on my Sky+, too tired to stay up and watch it

Looks like it's going to be a rather interesting Sunday :)

Felt sorry for Massa, poor guy in the wet :)

Heh...working in F1 in the past kinda gets it into your veins. :D

Finally got into bed a 4:40 this morning. Was up again at 8am.

Will be watching the race live and again commentating on it on here. I will be on the tired side I think...got a couple of things to watch on tv today to be totally braindead to *bond films. :D*. That'll help me conserve energy. :D

I'll have to watch re-run of the quali, figured that after an early morning on friday i'd need my sleep and quali is usually ****. Guess I was wrong!
Can't wait for race tonight though, I'm so excited I may wet my pants...

What did you used to do in f1 simon?

we dont get to see 2nd quali I don't think, good old shoddy quali setup and ITV's dire ways!

Yeah, i dont think they show it, so we wont find out the actual race postions until the actual race, or you find them on the web. Personally i think its crazy, but it should make qualifying a bit more interesting.

I hope it rains for the race.

I love the way they've got the fantastically cool new technology of letting us hear the team radios, and then those two pillocks talk all over it
