2007wfp and xbox 360

I been using this for pc monitor and vga to 360, i find the image seems abit washed out on the 360 though, i am using a joytech vga cable and the writing for example isn't crisp, even with sharpness on full its still abit blurry round the edges, ive tried various rez of 1280x768,1280x720,1360x768.

A few have said a official vga cable would sort out the problem i am getting for sure? i thought it was maybe as the tft is 1680x1050 was causing the problem any help be appreciated.

From what I've read the official cable is supposed to be better than the joytech one. Try 1280*1024 and set screen format to 'wide'. I found that the best resolution for the 2007WFP. Sounds odd I know because it's not a widescreen res, but when you set the screen format to wide the 360 treats it as a widescreen res. It also means there's no vertical upscaling, only horizontal.

I've since moved on to using the 360 on a LG HDTV (32LC2D) and there's no doubt the colours are brighter and more vivid on the LG than on the Dell. Of course the brightness on the Dell is 300cd/m2 whereas it's 500cd/m2 on the LG, so you would expect that. PC monitor have to be comfortable viewing from 2 foot away so they can't be too bright.

Yeah i tried that but you don't get a massive screen in to play on big borders on left and right side for me.

Sounds like you didn't select 'wide' in screen format.

I had it on wide but i had to auto setup again to get it to work properly.

Yeah you always need to use auto adjust when changing res if you're using a monitor via VGA. Anyway, did it make any difference?
