Zack and Wiki was one of my highlights so far this year (I think it was this year?). Honestly can't think of much else being that good so far.

My favorite game of 2008 is MGS4 without a doubt. TO be honest i am struggling to think of many other games that had me in 2008. RSV2 was good (not as good as the first) Lego Indy was a wee hidden gem.
Mario Kart Wii was good, had a good laugh with the missus playing that.

I think there wont be much mention of GTAIV in this thread tbh, biggest let down of the year imo.

GTA IV is the game I have played the most this year, MGS4 might be a highlight if I ever got round to starting it.

Other than that, nothing springs to mind across any of the formats. I cant even remember what's been out

Just rockband for me as a highlight. R6V2 slightly dissapointed me, wasn't as good as the first Single player.

Game of the Year so far for me has to be Metal Gear Solid 4, it is just unbelievable, it has raised the bar this generation in terms of Graphics and Sound, I have never seen or heard anything like it, the ongoing MGS story has been beautifully wrapped up in this game, but it is also accessible for people new to the series as it explains quite a bit from the previous games. Not only that but bundled with MGO it is also my MP game of the year so far. It should be in every true gamers collection.

Suprise of the year so far would be Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection for the PSP, I can't put this little beauty down, it has 10 classic Williams tables from the 70's, 80's and 90's all rendered in 3D with lots of stuff to unlock.

Other highlights would include RB6Vegas2 and SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1

Dissapointments this year would be Burnout Paradise and Army of Two, I really wanted both to be great games and unfortunately they were not

GTA4 & MGS4 are going to be the two games going for GOTY. I think MGS4 will take it though.

Personally, the game I have been playing the most this year is COD4, however this wasnt a 2008 release so I guess doesnt really count. So I don't actually have a favourite game so far.

As for those games that have surprised me, I have enjoyed the Wii Fit and Pro Evo on the Wii really entertaining, and for someone who didn't like the Wii when it was first release, it has slowly grown on me.

I also have enjoyed playing Lost Odyssey after finally taking it out of the box 3 months after buying it.

The biggest disappointment for me so far this year is controversially GTA4, its bored me into not wanting to play it after only 1 month of its release.

hrmm for some reason can now see the pics....bizarre. Shame Lost Odyssey didnt come to PS3 looks a gem of a game.

havent decided on best games so far as i havent got round to installing MGS4 yet.

Been busy with Mass Effect on PC. Highlights this time round on ps3...GTA4 (though i was disappointed they took some rpg elements out) and have been pleasantly surprised by COD4.

For me, its Rock Band, Smash Bros. Brawl and MGS4 (MGO) that I have had the most fun with.

GTA4 is a good game but it wasn't worth all the hype.
