2009 Ashes Series - England vs. Australia **Spoilers**

The Aussie tail clinging on is giving me hope that the wicket might be getting a little more batter-friendly. Here's hoping.

As much as I would love to share that view, I think it is (was, last one just gone) Aussie grit. The bowlers have been great today, but with the weather, and the track, I can't see anything other than a draw.

I nearly posted that I thought Manou and Cook both looked very nervous, and that I wondered who would crack first, there's your answer. So, I'll stick my neck out and say Bopara won't need his pads tomorrow :P

I hate having to listen to cricket rather than watch...

Hope we can get victory in this match, I can't afford a draw :p

Hmm, TMS is my favourite way to enjoy test cricket in real time- I really enjoy Aggers, CMJ, Blofeld etc al. Hopefully Matt Hayden will also be a regular fixture.

For me, the telly is for the highlights.

Got Sky Sports? Or know someone that does? The Sky Player is free for the Ashes if you have a subscription. I do like TMS though, I tend to have both on when I'm stuck behind a monitor :)

No I do like the TMS team and 5live commentary is the best I think. But I do have sky player from my mams house, but it has stopped working, saying too many computers are registered for this month, yet in the management settings only one computer is registered.

Hopefully I might have better luck seing as it's August tomorrow, well.. day 5, working the weekend.

Worth dropping them an email, perhaps? Still, you're not missing much from the the Sky Sports commentators; most of them could bore a corpse to death. Nice to have something to watch though.

I did say "most" :) They have some good commentators. As you mentioned, Bumble and and Warrne (as yet, only a guest). Also, Michael Holding has a great cricketing brain. However, Hussain, Gower and Atherton are dull as ditch-water. Doubtless, they know their stuff, but stick them on TMS, and have them actually have to describe what is happening, and they would be lost.

And Botham is just a ****.

Well I guess I picked a good day to go

:D

Only thing was - I was 10mins late to the ground because my friend was running late! I was going to meet her at the ground but thought it wouldn't be a problem. The taxi driver told us we'd got 2 wickets but we thought he was taking the pee!

Bugger. 17 wickets* in two days, given yesterday's play, isn't entirely impossible, but that would assume there are no more breaks, which is unlikely in itself. Looks like a draw is on the cards really.

*Obviously England wouldn't need that to win, but it's a rough estimate of time.
