2009 Ashes Series - England vs. Australia **Spoilers**

Silly shots played by both Watson and Ponting but at least they both made more runs than Englands total lol:p.

Looks like its going to be a cracking game, if the stupid British weather holds up...wouldnt count on it though.

Broad around the wicket, Hussey gone! :D

This is hilarious, England could be in for their 2nd innings by tomorrow at this rate :p

I always used to have the radio commentary on and mute the TV but nowadays the radio stream is quite a few seconds ahead of the TV. Would be nice if you could delay the bbc radio stream by a few seconds and get it in sync.

Certainly the TMS commentary is miles better than Sky's, in my estimation.

Well what a thoroughly depressing day if you're an England supporter. Back to the bad old days of can't bat, can't bowl. We got our wickets on the few occasions we bowled a decent line and full length, the rest of our bowling was a shambles, pathetic, inexcusable. It will be a miracle if we manage to salvage anything from the match.

Harmison was probably the worst offender and people can now see that there is a reason he was dropped, he is way too inconsistent at this level.

Perhaps he was chosen over Sidebottom to give him one more chance to prove himself? He's at home, quite near to home. If he can't perform, consistently, here where can he perform for England?

If Flintoff isn't fit for the 5th Test or Broad gets dropped I'd like to see Sibo in for Harmison.

Well the way Harmison is bowling is better suited to the Oval where it's a harder and faster surface, but bowling this way at Headingley it's too short as was said many times on commentary today.

I'm not scapegoating Harmison for England's whole dismal performance today; none of the 11 players performed to the level expected. Anderson is another standout failure but none of the England players is spared their share of the blame.
