2010 Audi A4 TFSI worth looking at?

I've been on the look out for a car for a few months and I have seen this come up

It looks pretty clean but obviously overpriced like 99% of cars on the market now. Is it worth looking at? Thanks

Looks decent for the money. I was looking at them a month ago and Ive seen them selling for more than that

I had that engine in a 2008 Octavia
Bad on oil consumption and it’s a known problem.

Been reading that as well. Is the oil consumption bad for the engine or is it just soething that needs topping up more frequently than usual? Apparently its been remapped to 160bhp with no proof or reciept. Also no service history.

Remapped and no service history? Avoid.
I had the 2.0 TFSI in an S3, albeit 8 years ago, and had no adverse oil consumption.
Others weren't so lucky, including a few on these forums.
Someone had an A5 with the 2.0 TFSI and it drank oil like no tomorrow.

Was leaning that way myself after he mentioned the remap with no proof and that was before he mentioned no service history

Many of them do have a serious oil burning problem and they will only get worse with with age. The engines just weren't all that well put together. But it's pot luck, you might get a good one, you might get a Friday car. A bit like with a Rover lol.

Problem is that is something you will only find out after you buy the car.
