Shop Window - Drivers who might have a shot at a seat

Sam Bird - Been spotted with Williams at a few things now, and has tested for them in the past.. Test driver role?
Davidson -
Ricciardo - frakker has him as 99% Red Bull Reserve driver. Once confirmed will move out of shop window
Petrov - Russian backed, potiental for big sponsors + Renault/USF1/Campos say they are looking for "pay drivers" could Petrov be one with his £13million backing?
Jani - Has been "in discussions" with new teams
Di Resta - Testing with Force India at Jerez, rumoured as Reserve/test spot possibility
Hildebrand - Testing with Force India at Jerez, rumoured as Reserve/test spot possibility
Villeneuve - No spot at Lotus - So, will he pop up anywhere else?
Carroll - A1GP champion, tipped for remaining manor spot... Currently "in negiotiations"
Heidfeld - Being touted as possible Renault Driver

Not Driving
Raikkonen - Gone off to WRC - No drive!
Piquet - Nascar

Let me know who else should be in this section, my brain has gone to mush doing this so far!

just out of interest are you trying to imply the likes of Lewis, Massa, Sebastian, Mark have all signed new contracts?

(Thought Lewis and Massa - and possibly Sebastian - where already contracted through 2010 already - it doesnt matter a jot I was just interested)

No, just that they have 2010 covering contracts already in place :)

Can we get some colour for confirmed drivers? Maybe a different colour for rumours. Would make looking at the list a lot easier.

Good thread idea, now who wants the F1 2010 regulation changes thread?

Id add Petrov to the shop window. If I was a Russian sponsor looking to enter F1 it would be on the back of him. Second in GP2 and a good racer to boot.

Oh, and your also missing the BMW team... Not that anybody knows anything about them, but with Toyota out, I presume they have a spot should they want it?
