2010 F1 - Who goes where? Lineup and Teams

Not that it's important but you've spelled Schumacher wrong :p

Good work on the thread though, great idea to keep everyone up to date.

i thought it was still not confirmed, didn't lotus get thet Toyota spot and they are next on the list?

That was my understanding.

Updated the OP with a load more shop window chatter.

Cheers for the Support guys! This thread will need lots of input untill everything is all cofirmed and sorted :D

I'll be VERY surprised if Raikkonen gets a seat. Demands far too much dollar, isn't really that interested any more and said he's going rallying next year.

But apart from Alonso, LH and Button (all of whom are under contract) he is the only WC available. You could count JV in the running but I think he is past it and surely MS would be a better option at that point.

So perhaps Merc might have to go with Kimi next year and pay him what he wants, or maybe they will hope Rosberg can win it if their car is good enough! Well if its like 2009 at the start even Heidfeld could win it :D

Looking at the list, it seems Red Bull are the only team with continuity of drivers from 2009 season? Don't often see so many changes!

There are only 12 teams on that list, there are 13 spaces on the grid for teams.

The initial line up was the 10 current teams plus 3 new ones. Then BMW anounced they would leave so Lotus got their spot, and BMW were given first reserve. Now Toyota have left there is a spot free again, which presumably BMW will fill... but we have had no news on this.

Either way, there is space for 13 teams next year and this thread has only 12, so there should be a 'Mystery 13th team' in the list atleast, whether it becomes BMW or not.

EDIT: Looks like the FIA are holding things up http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5716309,00.html
