2011 A level results day thread

Nope :p Glad that stuff is behind me :p

Whenever I felt sick I would just tell myself that I've done everything I can do and there's no point worrying about things you can't change anymore. :p

Nope but good luck to all. I remember my A-Level results day a few years back, I was up all night sick with worry. I was in the park outside my 6th form at 7:30am...the school opened at 9am, I was literally pacing around like a noob.

As long as you have put the work in, you will be fine. If not you can always press for an examiner to remark some modules which you feel you should have scored better in.
 
My daughter gets her results tomorrow (although not until 10am at her school :( ). Is it possible to feel more nervous as a parent...?
 
WTF, I just checked the grade boundaries for OCR chemistry, they are higher than last year and the paper was much much harder.

So hard that 3,000 people joined a facebook page against the exam, people even sent e-mails complaining how hard it was :mad:

Also AQA biology, to get an A, you have to get 24% more than last year, ey?:eek:

Get a few drinks down you first. Celebratory or just booze to block out the realization that you didn't do that well.

good luck peeps, remember regardless of what you get your A-Levels are only relevant until you take the next step, so even if you don't do so well it's not the end of the world

Got mine last year! Was predicted 5 A's... Did not get it! xD

But yeah, in the grand scheme of things they're not as important as you might think, so if you don't do so well don't worry about it!

Well they are if you have a place at university that's counting on grades, id say its pretty important in the grand scheme of things.:p
