here some video of it i found it interesting

This all comes from the Mayan Calander which has an end date of 21/12/12. It's a common misconception amongst doom-mongers. Around about other places in Mayan temples there are actuall dates after that. The last date stated in the Mayan temple at Palenque translates to 21st October 4772.

Theres no evidence at all to show that the Mayans thought the world would end on that date. But because a cycle on their calender does end on that date and the calender doesn't continue after that date, many people have seen that as an oppertunity to cash in on all manner of Doomsday theory. Just a tiny bit of research proves it all wrong.

I read a book called "fingerprints of the Gods" and it predicted the end of the world in 2000 (I think) from the mayan clock, it was a great read but now obviously a load of tripe - so I predict that this 2012 prediction also to be a large bowl of tripe too.

I came into this thread fully expecting some hilarious comments concerning the likelihood of London actually being ready for the Olympics or that , in some manner, the games themsleves might cause the end of the world. And all I got was a semi-serious discussion about Mayans. Ho hum. Off to trawl for more humour, I guess. :D

There is only one thing that will end this world and the universe, long time away and we will all be dead.
Fixed ;) :D

Yeah, because Muslims are the only people who pray.
Ease up. He said that because Muslims prey 5 times a day, always pointing to Mecca. When in a space craft travelling at 20,000 MPH around the Earth it makes it a hard task, compared to Christians who can prey in any direction.

Can they not bring a swivelling mat that points them in the right direction?

Your onto a winner with that idea! Get a prototype 'Mecca Finding Mat' and get it on the market. Might not sell great fight now but as soon as we start getting properly into space...
