2014 ford focus 1.6 tdci issue

When the car was mobility did it have hand controls fitted to your knowledge ?

Have worked on dozens of ex-mobility cars with hand controls, and the clutches get a seriously hard life, people tend to ride them a hell of a lot more than with foot controls.

Knew one car that had three clutches and a flywheel within first couple of years of its life, and less than 15k mileage, just through pure wear and tear no other issues.

Problem is if the controls were fitted and taken off with care you will be hard pressed to tell to be honest, might need to ask the dealer.
If it is a wore out clutch then would the ford warranty cover this ?

normally a warranty don't cover the clutch..

Forgot to update the thread.

After back and forth to ford and arnold clark, AC took the car in and replaced the clutch, replaced a drivers side drive shaft, and all is well.

No idea why the DS needed replacing unless they butchered it getting it out???

Anyway, all is well which I'm happy about.

The curtsey car we got was the new shape clio, and all I have to say it's dreadful. No feedback from the wheel, really uncomfortable, brakes were on or off, gearbox felt flimsy, and plastics were really nasty. I was so excited to get the focus back :D

I'm glad it's sorted - thanks for the update :)

Interesting feedback on the new Clio. I've always liked the look of the new Clio but never been in one
