hi everyone got a few questions here i was reading up on the 980ti and the fps seems appalling for the money gtav only 63.4 fps at 1080p -witcher3 52fps at 1080p ,now ive been waiting for the 980ti as i thought we would have been getting something to close to a titan x :D.
i am trying to build a pc for gaming mainly playing games like bf4 hardline and any future games released on the new build i have not decided on a case yet but i will be wanting to use water cooling for cpu probably will go with
Cooler Master Nepton - or Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate orZalman Reserator 3 or anything else you guys recommend.

now to the cpu :
i read this today and would like your advice
For most users looking to build a high-end gaming computer, I would recommend the i5-4690K over the i7-4790K simply because, in most scenarios, the added threads that the i7-4790K possesses won’t really give you any kind of in-game performance boost. However, if you have the money to spend, choosing the i7-4790K over the i5-4690K won’t be a bad option…
so is the i5 a better choice right now or would i be better off with the i7 for future proofing my pc ..

now the graphics card ,what would you guys say is the best gc to go with right now for playing games at 1080p with whatever cpu you would go with above.

these are the main things i need help with that and a nice case to house these components ,but if you would like to throw in any ideas on motherboard and memory id appreciate it thanks

How long do you plan to use the computer for? It is important for considering your CPU choice.

If you plan to use the computer for 3 years I would recommend the i7 because by then most games would benefit from the extra 4 threads provided by hyper threading. If you can afford to upgrade once every 2 years or more frequently than that then I would get the i5 and spend more on a graphics card and really nice case.

I highly recommend looking at the Fractal Design Define S case, my favourite out at the moment.

not convinced by the value of hyper threading...

the best favour you can do your self in 4 core cpu terms is wait for skylake in 2-3 months..+ being on the latest chipset is always nice as it willl support the next generation cpu too.

any modern cpu will be fine for any modern graphics card...just get the best vfm in both areas.

gpu vfm is really tough right now, there will be a die shrink next year that will deliver significant performance improvements (if the last die shrinks are anything to go by. at least 50% more for same money). By june 24th, amds gpu revisions will be known.

the best vfm areas seem to be 970/290x for 30+ fps at 1080p and perhaps 980ti due to its 6gb giving it more longevity (if you like to game at ~60fps 1080p)..neither of great value in the last year of 28nm gpus... seconds hand to tide you over until next year might be where the smartest money is (if you know someone you trust selling).
