Well, myself and B N3GATIVE are due to fly to Taiwan in 5 days time for a modding competition against 7 other teams! We will be representing the UK of course! More information about the competition can be found here:

http://mod.in-win.com/home

more information about me and Dan can be found here:

http://mod.in-win.com/modder/4

But hey, this is more about my blog posts for when I am there, I have posted my "introduction" to the blog here:

http://www.davidolabido.co.uk/in-win-2016-mod-in-taiwan-introduction/

Most of the other blogs will no doubt be drunken posts after I get back from "networking" in the various bars in Taiwan! I have never been before so it is going to be huge for me!

well, that is it for this post, it will be updated as and when I post blogs, but I will be posting a few things a little more relaxed here too ;)

Thanks guys! I am working this weekend which kinda sucks, buy my bags are mostly packed, camera, laptop, video cameras and tools all packed, I even put some clothes in my case too!

Thanks for the support guys!

The folded-arms WWF hard-man looks seems very popular!

Disappointing lack of beards though.

I actually rock a beard 99% of the time... But when I am in Taiwan I am going to be shaven so that I am not so hot and because I shaved for my passport photo.... Unless I get lazy as I currently have an epic beard! Not sure why so many people like to cross their arms though, seems defensive to me! I am a walking egg so there is very little to be defensive about =D

Congrats! Let's see some pics of your previous work (I'm sure I've seen some previous logs but forget the names..)

Tbh, a lot of my builds havnt got build logs or anything as they were rushed or for NDA products, here are a few though

yeh, I am not too bad, I have been bitten by something, which then managed to get cellulitis and then get infected, so for the competition I was hobbling around a lot and in quite a lot of pain, as soon as it ended I went to the doctors, they gave me some IV and it felt a little better. The next day we went to do interviews with HyperX and my leg started to go purple with blisters appearing, so the In Win boss made me go to the hospital.

I have been here for almost 36 hours now hooked up to IV the whole time. May have to stay here for up to two weeks, but chances are it will be 3-5 days if they see enough of an improvement to release me with just tablet form anti-biotics. It sucks quite a lot as I am basically missing the whole "fun" part of the trip. These things happen though, nothing anyone could have done about it.

yeah, I think the bite was on my first proper day here, then the second day it started to get inflamed and on the third day it was hospital time =(

yeah, the hospital has aircon and all the locals are wearing their blankets and I am here in shorts and tee really hot, I always sit at really low temps so until later on in the evening I am just trying to keep warm and keep plenty of liquids in me!

Thanks guys, it really was one of the hardest builds we have ever had to do. So much pressure to get it finished on time, so much heat, so much Illness and neither of us expected to do as well as we did. We are both really proud of ourselves!!

all the teams were incredably talented, really puts a spotlight over what people can do in such a short time! We tried to play it safe and we still only finished with 12 seconds to spare!!! It was very very close!

Some of the prizes that we are bringing home!! we also got a $250 EKWB gift voucher, a trip to Vegas, an In Win Signature chassis of our choice and of course our case will be made for public sale :D

Thanks Colin, Leg is getting there although it isn't great still!

I will give the 1080 a going over in the near future hopefully, I have a lot of other products to review at the moment so time is a little short.

Folks, If there is one post you read on my blog, please let it be this one:

I want to show how much people actually pull together at these events!
