I wasn't far wrong though - took penalties to decide it but yeah not as bad as the pre-season game!

Liked Kolasinac - shame he didn't get to take a penalty. And yeah what the hell was Courtois thinking hoofing that ball like that :p
 
Lol so that's 2 trophies now, Emirates cup and community shield.

That should be enough to hang onto both Sanchez and Ozil:p.

Well ofc it is if its with Arsenal, and a Trophy is a trophy, bet the pool or spurs would like to be reminded whats it like to play in it, what its 17 & 26 years since either has taken part :D

Yeah those that don't play it, tend to call it a friendly, it's a trophy, one I'm always happy to win. But one thing you like to avoid, is that YOU have to win something big to play it, and somehow I don't see the pool playing it next year either.
 
Not just those that don't play in it but those that organise it too. Why was Koscielny eligible to play when he's currently serving a suspension? It's classed as a friendly.
 
Lets not go too far. At least you have to win the match to win the community shield. Arsenal won the Emirates Cup despite losing one of their games and Sevilla winning both of theirs.

Only because points are awarded on how many goals are scored. If anything the Emirates cup is a Mickey Mouse competition.

Me saying earlier that we have won the Emirates cup and community shield was tongue in cheek lol.
 
We also won the cup competition in China, we have the pre-season treble lads.

Joking aside, I thought we looked reasonable today considering we were missing several first team members. I thought on paper Chelsea had the stronger squad, but they looked off the pace. Winning the Community Shield is a nice bonus, but the real work starts on Friday. We need to get one more big signing before the window shuts and we need to start strongly.
