When the mining craze and pandemic supply chain issues blow over, prices and availability will settle down. It's gonna be a long wait though!

Inflation has also gone mad in the last 3 - 4 years with all the "quantatative easing" etc. I hear the dollar lost over 18% just since October 2020 ...

Inflation has been practically zero for most of the world for the last few years so it's definitely not that. EU and Japan especially are struggling with *deflation*... just getting it to a worthwhile 2%+ is a struggle, apparently.

Sold my 2080ti with a damaged LED header for £550 back in Nov. God knows what it would fetch now. Although I wish I'd kept it for mining now. It would have earned that in another month or so.

To be fair, if he had started mining with it rather than sell it back in November then he would have made the amount he sold it for back before the end of March at current prices so he isn’t far off.

I banked £60 in my first week with my 3080, I get the 2080ti isn't anywhere near as high a payer but it wouldn't be far off £550 in 5 months
