I still do not fully understand fines in football. You want to punish a club, deduct points, you want to punish a player, ban them.
Punishing the national side was the correct thing to do, but £35'000 is not really a 'punishment'.

Haha, you might not be far off the mark.
I think the correct decision was made to punish the national sides who flaunted / ignored the FIFA 'laws', but a point deduction would have been a better actual punishment.
