Butland won't be playing instead of Hart, we may as well come to terms with that now. Hart is Gareth's number 1 because 'No one else has proven good enough to take it from him' (quote isn't exact, but you get the picture).

You need Lallana in there somewhere, assuming he comes back from injury okay. He’s the only one in recent times that looks creative in an England shirt.

Hmmm, difficult decision, like it said in the article, when Hart has been keeper for the whole qualifying campaign it's difficult to just yank him out. He has a had a fair few go's in goal on the main stage though, would be nice to give someone else a shot. Butland is perfect age as well, not a complete youngster like Pickford.
His form has been off for a long time Southgate is just digging himself into a hole.
Should be simple, who has had the best season out of the English keepers in the PL? It certainly isn't Hart to this point, so past performances in qualifying should count for nothing imo.

Made a fair amount of errors too.
It's a difficult one. Maybe 3rd time lucky for Hart, and he's actually perfect age, being around his 30's, he wouldn't get another WC, Butland would surely be keeper by then.
He does need to have a good season though, back up his England campaign with a solid PL campaign, he's got time to prove himself.
Good point, I like Lallana, where'd you put him? Be audacious and put him in front of the defence?

Lallana does come across as the sort of player that could play further back. You need the discipline, tactical awareness and nous to play in the middle and he looks like he has that.
