2019 car launches

I just booked my flights for another round of F1 testing in Barcelona next month, and it prompted me to create the annual new car thread. I know that little is revealed at the actual launches, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new aero, and to see if it makes a difference to following the car in front in testing. I just hope that it is a little warmer this year!

F1's 2019 technical changes explained

Goodbye 2018, hello 2019! The season may have only just ended, but for many months now the teams have been focused on next year, with significant changes coming to the regulations that aim to spice up racing. The key aim underlying the changes was to alter the aerodynamics of F1 cars in such a way that drivers are able to race much more closely, essentially by making the cars less inhibited by the invisible ‘force field’ of ‘dirty air’ coming off a car in front.

Yeah, two separate weeks of testing again. I really wish they'd move it back to Jerez, as I like the town more, but Barcelona will have to do

I've been going regularly since the year before the new V6 were introduced.

Yeah, the Rev Bull ones are cool. Williams hit a low point for me - I think it was 2014 and they just ran in a plain dull blue.

Toro Rosso looked amazing in testing last year, and Renault weren't far behind. It would be great to see some different designs this year.

Indeed. Put that car together with a competent strategist and it could almost be good enough to overcome the perceived shortcomings of the driver pairing.

Disappointed that they haven't progressed the livery. That was one of the best looking cars last year and the year before, but it looks a little stale now.

That Williams doesn't really look finished. I know it is livery only being revealed, but I reckon the paint is still wet!
