2019 is now problematic

Frankly OcUK should introduce a warning when a thread includes any of the terms Woke, SJW or Leftie, they are likely to cause health problems for some people

The corporate world has been infiltrated by cultural Marxists hell bent on the destruction of western society. All the woke man children are too stupid to see it.

I'm not so sure about that.

GOTG Vol II (Sequel) - $863.8 million box office
Spider Man: Homecoming (beloved character) - $880.2 million
Thor: Ragnarok (established characters) - $854 million
Black Panther (1 previous appearance) - $1.34 billion

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Black_Panther_box_office_achievements

Iron Man 3: $1.2 Billion
Captain America civil War: $1.15 Billion
Spider Man Homecoming :$1.13 Billion

It's not too far off the others. But you missed my point, if Black Panther wasn't a Marvel movie it wouldn't have done so well.

Just wait until they discover what people have written down in books over the past thousand years... Might as well toss them all in a furnace and start again as it'll take so long going back to edit out all the potentially sex/race/trans/etc-ist language and plot points there.

Looking forward to the to kill a mockingbird re-release, about a person of unspecified race, gender, and sexuality being accused of [censored], and being defended by a strong independent black single mother lawyer.

I googled it, That's because they were massively under-represented compared with the population

i.e. roles for black or minority actors in hollywood were massively lower than the actual population of the USA.

If it was more even, I doubt it would be an issue at all.

You're looking at leads there. Not actors in general.

I wonder if we'd see something different if we looked at the Indian, Chinese or European film industries. I'd hazard even more of a disparity.

Yes obviously.

It's not like India or China has a high population of black people though that are massively under-represented.

Ha actually another example... I love a theme park and I’m looking at travelling to Phantasialsnd in Germany and staying in an on site hotel. Ones Asian themed and one’s African themed. OK. I then started watching POVs of the rides and on the lift hill there were some fake bones decorating part of the lift hill of the African themed roller coaster...

Again... I felt myself feeling a little... aware. I didn’t feel offended but I definitely think the chance of that decoration going up now would probably be slim!

I've stayed in the african themed hotel, its nice.. though honestly, the themepark itself is a little uninspiring, if it hadn't been a corporate thing, I'd have given it a miss.

I think the problem would mostly be in the HR departments which create a lot of rules around conduct, these departments are typically dominated by women.

What was the % split of the US population in the early to mid 80s which is when most of these stars were born? A quick search shows 80/20.
