Race is tomorrow. No idea who's covering it in the UK (***edit*** I believe Sky Sports F1 has it).

Starting lineup:

First time since '87 that an Andretti has been on pole :) He's been quick in the practice sessions as well. Alonso has already found the wall (for his sake I hope he's got that out of his system for the race), he also had a spin in the pitlane at one point.

I watched Carb Day yesterday and am looking forward to this tomorrow evening. It did seem very odd seeing the Brickyard deserted, very different to the last time I was there.

Indy is OK to watch from time to time, I wish we had more coverage of it over here though.

Shame it doesn’t seem to be in 4K.

It looks surprisingly green round there. Has been a long time since I’ve been to Indy. Funny to hear chat about F1 returning.

Thought I'd watch this year, normally give it a miss, but I have free access to Sky Sports so why not, that and dinner is done, and the washing up is finished. :)

well we get it in F1 now with those god awful "AWS Insights" but thankfully we don't have american style commentary...yet.

Wow, the yanks can't go double digit minutes without spamming with ads.

Veekay really pedalling that Chevy out of position, hope he keeps that up. Don't care about Alonso one bit. It'll be interesting to see where people are towards mile 500 when fatgiue sets in and the strategy closes up but it's not the spectacle they sell it as so far.

I picked a driver I’d like to do well at the start and it was Hinchcliffe due to the scarf with his printed face on.

I do remember watching the 500 and other oval circuit races in previous years and there was always loads of overtaking, what’s happened to stop that?

I wonder how mush of the race the NBC viewers actually get to see. The number of breaks is disgraceful.

Classic US TV. 10 minutes maximum before a break.

They standardised aero kits so the main difference is chevy/honda, fuel loads, tyre wear and ultimately the setup.

Listening to Indycar radio and scoreboard.

I always liked Rossi and the guy deserved his place in F1 and yet never got a proper chance.

I’ve always felt, US sports aren’t about the sport, but about how many adverts/advertisers they can’t get in.
