I will be honest it doesn't interest me as I only really watch comps that England are in but where do they get the refs from? Are they all from African leagues or do they get some professionals in?
And people complain that Afcon doesn't get taken seriously!

I have never seen a game finished early! What the heck?
I wouldn't feel too sorry for him. In 2018 he was suspended for corruption, only to be later cleared due to a lack of evidence against him.I feel slightly sorry for the ref
