2023 FA Community Shield Man City v Arsenal [Sunday 6th August @ 4pm]

Rice and Havertz aren’t looking like shrewd signings yet but we will see. Rice will be solid enough but like basically every Uber expensive player they will never look like value for money. Havertz just can’t lead a line so I’m not sure how much you can take from today.

Timber looked decent.

Mount hasn't impressed either from what Ive seen. Bet Chelsea are laughing all the way to the bank. For now...

I honestly can't believe Arsenal bought Havertz to be our striker. It's just with Jesus injured, Eddie pretty useless and Balogun not even considered his height must have given him the nod over Trossard.

He seems to have been fine. Nothing special so far. Missed a sitter the other day. As I said, too early to make too many predictions.

What is wrong with celebrating winning a Trophy?
Nothing. One of the biggest indictments of how pathetic football fans are is the whining about another group of fans daring to celebrate that their team won something.
It's right up there with being enraged at the actions of a rival player which they completely ignore in their own.

I think the importance is being a bit overstated, it's not like Arsenal beat MC in regular play so it doesn't really prove they have the better of them in a league context. If it gives the team confidence for the season ahead then great, but I'd say it is falsely placed confidence although that said, perhaps I should be more enthusiastic based on the fact it wasn't a heavy defeat which might have knocked the stuffing out of them a bit.
