2025 F1 car launches

Honestly, I really thought a team or two may take this opportunity to make a big change/surprise with their livery/a bold colour change.

Shame pretty much all of them are the same after all these big loud presentations.
I do hope for this most years and it always extremely minimal livery adjustments. (Changes would be too strong a word! :D)

Did not like the launch show. I had it recorded so skipped through 90% of it. I hope they do not do this kind of event again. :(

I thought it was far better than individual launch shows which are full of self congratulatory ********, last an hour and don't show any more than we saw last night.

Brief five or six minute slots, interspersed with a bit of humour at the expense of F1 itself and a fantastic boooooo moment at the FIA. Oh, except Alpine, that was utterly awful.

I'd far rather spend the time watching a launch show like this than have to sit through the rubbish the teams have given us for the last few years.

And we got to see glimpses of Sophie Lloyd during the opening number. Bonus.

This is the real point, isn't it? It's not this against watching Netflix, it's this vs. watching ten different naff launches.

Didn't see this thread yesterday but I'll say again here, it was above my expectations as a show but don't mistake that as a complement. Watched pretty much all of it but dipped during Take That.

My general comments are:

- First band was 'fine'. Didn't last too long, was acceptable as a performance. The rest of the music was pretty poor (country guy totally lost on that stage, Take That were only slightly less dreadful than at the BAFTAs on Sunday).

- Jack Whitehall unexpectedly one of the better (best?) parts of the night. Better than most comedians at award shows and the like where they often fall flat. Still not sure it'll have helped him 'break' the US.

- Alpine's segment was by far the worst. Even with Saubers endless drumming.

- Felt like a lot of them went on far too long. Could be a lot snappier instead of trying to justify the ticket price with it going on for longer.

- Red Bull probably had one of the better intro vids tbf. Shame they didn't stop there.

- HAAS really pushing the 'American team' narrative ahead of any new teams getting in. Clearly trying to sew up that market (can't blame them but was a bit transparent).

- Actual livery wise, as joked they were all pretty much the same. Sauber looked a little better than before to me. The detail on the VCARB of the little bulls was nice but the overall not so much. Forgotten most of the others already.

- Did I mention that Alpine's was the worst?

Curiosity did get the better of me I'll admit and where I wouldn't normally watch livery launches I did watch this, so I guess that's a success in their books? 50/50 whether I'll bother again next year.

...well maybe Horner and Max shouldn't be such ***** then.

You can't be big headed and belligerent all the time and expect everyone to like you.

I watched most of it on 1.5x speed to catch up with it muted. I saw that DJ going absolutely mental on the decks like his life depended on it, so I hit he play button and unpaused expecting to hear some ketty tunes trying to get the crowd going. The guy was basically playing Enya. Off his **** to Enya, while the crowd stared in silence. Was hilarious.

I heard he was the composer who made the F1 tune, but that yes his DJ set was pretty poor and completely faked.

I'm sure the British publics opinion weighs heavily on them. Bet Max can't even enjoy his new private jet after such a traumatising evening.

I guess a mistake was made in letting children into the event...
Seriously though in mixing different individuals from different fan base's always meant 'loyaty's' would be expressed.

Yea it's pretty standard and not unique to F1, but it gets amplified with success.

Lewis was boo'd when he was winning, now Max has that role; prior to Lewis it was Vettel, etc.

Or they could hold the event in a country other than the UK, cheers and boo's are certainly reversed in other countries.
