Hey guys,

I know, I know, I have had many issues with my system and GPUs and so on..

But now, my system is running pretty sweet..

Today I have setup CS : GO and cannot for the life of me get the settings to register as : "1920x1080, centre screen, and with side bars"..

All I can get is stretched image and horrible, horrible in-game performance because of it..

Also to add, my monitor is a 49" 3840x1080 display.

If someone can take me though the required hardware settings for 1080p with the black bars at the side, that would be awesome!

Cheers guys!

Enable GPU scaling in the geforce control center and select "keep aspect ratio". If i'm not mistaken it should work. It will fill the image to until its from top to bottom but give you black bars on on the side on your super ultrawide monitor.

Maybe use stretch instead of centre option.

Can the game not be played in windowed mode as might fix black bars issue?

I can't help but try Google and results on reddit.

A lot of the pros use weird aspect ratios and low resolution on purpose to make it look stretched on purpose.

When you stretch the screen it makes it easier to aim. Gaps become wider and heads become bigger. This is why all the pros use stretched low Res on purpose.
