Next year will be all about NVidia on 7nm, why would they waste time and resources on anything else.

It's Nvidia, I'm sure they would like to release some mega expensive GPU that's totally pointless before a new gen..

Doubt it though, even if they did I wouldn't buy it so close to a new gen of cards.

What may happen is that we get a 7nm Ampere Titan early in 2020. The present TREX cores can then go towards a 2080Ti Super, which will tide-over enthusiasts (at least ones who don't buy the Titan) until Summer/early Autumn for a full Ampere launch.

IF a 2080 Ti Super launched, First it would be a pointless release, And secondly it would be a pointless purchase as Ampere would be out a few months later with increased performance at or under the price of current gen.

If nVidia have a glut of Ti chips I can see them doing it to stimulate demand, if only to move the price bracket down slightly and move the Super into the 'old' Ti pricing.

This, they'd sell a fair few imo esp as it'd have HDMI 2.1 and be gorgeous paired with an LG 4k OLED
