Just tried with the latest version of Opera but it does not work.
Bummer.
Can you make this work for Opera without the above extension.
You would make a lot of Opera people happy!
Just tried it with Chrome and it works fine, shame I don't like Chrome.

Hi this is now broke with the latest version of youtube, any chance of a fix?

It now works with youtube's new layout. Toggle is now ctrl+alt+c, to prevent confusion with netflix support. Don't forget to send a nice review, or tell me it sucks

Would it be possible to have a few intermediate steps of cropping? Kind of like in VLC where we have several aspect ratios for cropping. I use it for some 16:9 movies where going all the way to 21:9 would cut too much of the picture and I'd love to have something like that for youtube

(this shows the wrong submenu, but the crop has the same options)
So I guess that would be enough since it's all standard.
Or maybe "just" the possibility to add custom aspect ratios and able to cycle through them with something like alt+ctrl+left/right/up/down/+/- , or bind them directly to alt+ctrl+1/2/3...
Or just zoom by something like 10% steps with one keycombo and 1% with another for super fine controls...
You get the idea

16:9 is boring these days would be cool if the smart people at youtube looked into dynamically changing aspect ratios without it removing anything from the actual footage.
Maybe somehow using the GPU to help reconstruct frames as the video is being streamed. That kind leap sounds major and impossible I guess.
