I got pulled over by the Police a year or so ago because they thought my brake lights were out. Infact I was just looking and planning ahead and adjusting my speed so that I never needed to use the brakes. It takes a lot more effort and concentration to drive in this manner but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new car.

Yeah I do the same, there nothing worse than sitting behind cars who drive so close they are constantly on and off the brakes all of the time when all they need to do is sit 10metres or so back and just take there foot on and off the accelerator.

Use the accelerator and brakes as little as possible, e.g. don't pull off quickly and when approaching roundabouts slow down gradually and plan when you are going to join rather than braking late and ending up stopping because there isn't a gap.

If I drove like that around here then i would be doing 30mph the whole way as you cant see the exits to the roundabouts untl your nearly on them plus they are every mile or so..

a lot of factors affect it really. Also my town driving isn't always strictly small streets. It's a mixture of dual carriageways as well. All i know is that its quite thirsty on fuel. It would snatch my wallet off me if the car had hands!

Your cav is known as a vectra on the continent! oh no!!!

I wouldn't mind a c20let cav phase 3 tuned

It does use the entire rev range though.

My Cav isn't a C20LET sadly - just a C20XE - but on paper it is as quick as your V6 to 60 \o/ It does like the go-go juice though :eek:
