2142 Commander Tactics.

Right. Your opinons / advice please, whats the best comanding tactic for titan? I useually move the titan far far back so the enemy cant attack it, makes sense eh? Well this useually gets me voted out cous the gunner noobs cant use the titan guns, then no one captures silos. Anoying.

Any tactics you like to share?

I do what my team want for the titan becuase if you dont have them happy and working together then your team wont work well. If they dont reply then i move it as close to thier base as possible.

The titan does far more good as a mobile spawn platform and gun platform near the centre of the map. By all means move it back to a safe location once the shields are down but to leave it back before that is to lose your most powerful asset.

sos to sound noob but how does a commander do what he does?

like i see them do things like order a air strike on a random part of the map, how do they select that? how do they move the titan etc?

any other cool things they can do? i have never once been a commander as i have no clue how id control them

When your commander your press Caps Lock and it brings up the map with the 'cool' stuff on

To move the titan click on it a right click on the map to where u want it.

Your best off moving the titan between some silos. Doing this allows easy transport to the nearby silos with the drop pods and also allows you to have some support for your ground units. What do you lose by moving it to the centre? If the enemy is going to get on-board they are going to do it one way or another then just place down a beacon.

I always place it just after he first silo, so the team can pod out of it and land near to the next couple, and they can still use the guns on the first pod.

At the end of the day, it doesnt matter what you do with the titan because the enemies will always get onto it.

With that in mind I normally charge it into the centre of the map and use it to secure some silos, as its better than using teamates to protect the captured silos.

Never ever place it or fly it over a silo. The missile will hit YOUR titan due to it being in the way . . .

Dureth, you cannot move the titan once the shields are down.

I know, which is why I move it when the shields are getting low rather than waiting until they are gone.

Very true that. Place it NEAR the silos but not over them
