2142 mod,first strike

Just finnished downloading First Strike and i can't open the file,when i check the files properties it says the file opens with windows shell commor DLL,any ideas how i can sort this?

You sure it downloaded correctly? The First Strike 1.2 setup I have is an .exe.

Had a quick google, can't seem to find any issues.

I'm on Vista x64 as well, so I'm installing 2142 again now & I'll let you know.

Did you get the mod to install or still can't open the .ZIP? If the first, there's a 1.2 > 1.3 patch on that site, try that if you haven't already.

If the file won't open download the 30 day WinRAR trial http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar380.exe and try opening it with that.

Weird installed 2142 this morning and I get a not-responding on launch, it's always worked before.

Well atleast i know it aint just mei've uninstalled and now i'm having probs getting the thing to even install again so i'm gonna try downloading again

ok downloaded and installed v1.2 from link above,did'nt work untill i changed fullscreen to wide screen,now it loads up fine,no servers so i'm now gonna update to 1.3 so should be ok now.
EDIT..just installed v1.3,loads up...no servers
