Hello -

I have been looking for a 22'' Monitor for under £100 with shipping, i saw one on [Other site goes here] for £95 with shipping but they mailed me saying it'd been discontinued, gutted i am still on the hunt.

Specs i would like / Non needed really.

Colour; Black.
Connection - VGA and DVI.

Main use - Internet browsing: sending emails and forums.

Maybe in the future when i get some more money and can actually afford to make a machine i can game on this may come into play - but thats another story.

Any suggestions / Sites.
Thanks.

The cheapest one here is £130 and that's one of the cheapest 22" screens I've found from a reliable site. Maybe go for 20" if you're limited by your PC as well, any particuar reason for wanting 22"?

I had a 21'' Crt. Just dont have the room - dont want to go lower than 22'' as i have 19's at school and id much prefer a 22.

I'm guessing the Hyundai Blue H H224W 22" is probably the closest OcUK do at £128 but I did read somewhere on these forums that it is actually a pretty decent monitor considering how relatively cheap it is.

I got a 22" screen from a competitor for £94 - it's an absolute treat. No dead pixels, great contrast, better resolution than me £400 monitor/T.V that's only 20".

What res do you people use. :d

I take it this is your first LCD? In contrast to CRTs, LCDs have a fixed number of pixels so you should always run them at the native resolution. if you use a lower resolution than there are physical pixels, the monitor will have to interpolate the unknown data which will make the image blurry.

For most 20" and 22" LCD monitors, the native res is 1680x1050.

any 22" under about 175 isn't going to be that great, but if it's going with the build in your sig, which is very outdated, then it'll do, if you do choose to move into gaming you'll need to dish out some cash tho!

:O My build is top of the class cost me a fortune lol.

Yeah, going to upgrade soon but just don't have much cash for a new system.

I think I'm right in assuming which competitor that's from: they renamed that exact monitor with their own brand on their website, right?

If so, I have the exact same monitor and it's just gone wrong within 3 months. I no longer have certain resolutions. It's not the monitor display (xbox 360 works fine on DVI), it's not the laptop (same problem on a phillips and Eee 901) and it's not the cable (Tried a spare).

Trying to RMA it now, but the competitor in question isn't being too helpful at the moment (count my posts on here and work out why I've registered :p). They want me to RMA it to the manufacturere (in spite of the facts that that's against the sale of goods act, and the fact that they branded it for their own shop)

Anyway, just be wary of that. It's a decent monitor otherwise :-)

That's the one. It's a decent monitor for the cash, assuming mine's a one-off. Friend has the same Digimate from here on OCUK (the 19" version) and his is fine. Not too pleased with their customer support though.
