22" 24" and 27"

Hello

Finally getting around to ordering an IPS monitor.

I have been prevaricating for ages.

I want IPS because I like to do a bit of photography.

I don't think I can afford a 27" screen, so the choice is 22" or 24". There are a lot of 22" screens about, mostly from Dell I think, and a smaller number of more expensive 24" monitors.

What would the real world difference between these two sizes actually be?

My mate has a 22" dell which is nice but much prefer the higher res and larger screen the 24" offers. I wanted the 27" but just couldn't afford the £800 or whatever they are.

This U2410 I'm reviewing at the moment is fantastic - but it's broad gamut so depending on the colour space you want to work with that could be a problem. If you're interested in sRGB work I'd honestly recommend the U2311 or U2211. I have a U2211 downstairs in the box and it does look pretty small - next to this one, anyway.
