Yes it does.

There are some power saving options in the monitors menu.

But by default it does what you asked.

Can i ask the guys who also have the 2209wa, whether they find the screen quite dark, even with brightness and contrast turned up? A few pics would be great.

I find when playing games, i have to turn the gamma up if its got an option, otherwise its very dark.

My monitor just seems to have its default gamma set too low, but ive not found a way to change this, theres no option in the advanced menu to do so.

From the default settings, I only needed to notch up the brightness and contrast a couple of notches.

would you be able to take a pic of it on your desktop? I dont know if i am just used to brighter things with the pva monitor i also have.

What i find most frustrating, the image quality is by far the best ive ever seen in games if i can adjust the gamma to suit.

Worth noting that the dell can do 75hz as well, which may be of interest to some people

Bigger screen, looks cool, good reviews (not just on OcUK, but also from websites and youtube).

Most importantly, fast response time of 2ms makes it good if you'r fan of FPS
