22 widescreen TFT just for Gaming

depends really whats your budget? i recently bought a 223bw which suits me great (i do have 2 stuck pixels but this seems quite rare)

either of those two would be good. The Iiyama E2201W looks like an interesting model too. Check out the recent hardware.fr review (will be updated in english on behardware soon)...has 2ms G2G response time, RTC, Samsung panel and apparently...no input lag at all! Could be a winner

I have a 22" Sammy Pebble. Great panel for gaming, no ghosting, great colours, good black levels and I have no dead/stuck pixels.

or the 2232BW 22" Pebble (same screen as the 226BW) but more likely to be a Samsung panel and it looks funkier too :)

going to get one myself next week - looks like it's between the 2232BW and the 226BW - not sure which myself - any ideas to go with my new shinny 8800GT

i picked up the 226bw yesterday morning and i cant fault it, no dead pixles, slightly odd colouring but fixed with the software provided in about 2 minutes, excellent gaming performance (happy chappy) :D

How is your level of back light bleed on your panel ?

I am happy with the performance of the screen in games, its just a little concerning that there is a level of backlight bleed: see pics

It only arrived yeasterday and this pic was taken in a Dark room (I always game in the dark ;) ) with Brightness at 20 and contrast at 65.

Not sure if I should RMA it ?

Is this a reasonable example or worse ?? It has no dead pixels and is otherwise fault free, hmmmm caught between two stools.

I'd say that's fairly normal. You have to be lucky to get a screen with no backlight bleed. Completely up to you whether you find it acceptable.

My 226BW arrived yesterday. Its a stunning monitor, awesome colours but hugely disappointed with the backlight bleed from the sides. Typically I had not read about in other reviews as this would definitely have swayed my decision. Luckily though there were no dead pixels which would have been a double whammy.

Edit: My bleed is worse than the images posted above.

So I guess I should count myself lucky and be glad for no dead pixels and minor bleed?

Mine is a Romanian screen September 2007 (sticker on box and on back of screen) just out of interest, where has yours been manufactured Jaycee??

Mine was manufactured in Solvakia August 2007, gees! What happened to made in China or even better, made in Korea!
