Well in the meantime why don't we all just enjoy the original record, backed with this rather nice track from Boards of Canada and some random surfing vid thrown in just for good measure :)

I remember the first time I watched this, the music alone gave me shivers let alone the jump!
 
I don't know if anyone's said this but does anyone think that the delays were due to Red Bull attracting more attention and viewership... after all as far as RB are concerned it's all about generating maximum viewership and therefore maximum exposure of the brand/maximum sales from this stunt.
 
The balloon seemed to scuff along the concrete at one point I think it was immediately after that that they cancelled. Probably because if a tiny scuff in the balloon happened it could burst before he is high enough to deploy but high enough to kill him.

That's a decent reason to cancel it and an even better reason to cover up more of the ground with protective plastic under the baloon when they retry!

This is all just what I reckon though.
