24" - argghh, no more height than 19"

But I've got a TV for watching movies .. and a comfy sofa to lie back in.. so I dont want to watch movies on my computer monitor.

So what I probably need is 24" 16:10 .. as i think 1200 vertical pixels probably gives the right pixel pitch for close up work.

But which 24" 16:10? Some are no longer manufactured or are being discontinued..:mad: It would be really great to see a list of current/future models with this format..
 
I know of 4 23-24" screens that are due to be released in the next few months, but they are all 16:9 'full HD' 1920x1080 affairs. It seems to be simply a desirable standard at the moment, even if not everyone agrees. I am sure some "professional" displays will be released at some point in the future with a 16:10 aspect ratio, but I am only really in tune with monitors intended for gaming and movies at the moment :)
