How awesome is 24.

I have started on the 4th series boxset and found myself watching 6 episodes in a row last night staying up far too late.

I was actually getting a bit of an adrenaline buzz just from watching it. I have never had this from any other show. Lost is very suspenseful but nothing like 24.

Am I in the minority/alone or do a lot of people find this with 24?
 
Loads of people like it.

I started watching Series 3 on DVD, got about halfway and lost interest. Not my thing and it dragged too much. But then series 3 is apparently the worst.

I dont think I will be giving 24 (any series) a 2nd chance until I get through all the other stuff that I feel like watching.
 
It's amazing, recently finished watching season 5. I waited til it all finished then watched it all in less than a week :D

Thet are all amazing. Still wonder no one ever eats or has breaks for the whole 24 hours !
 
24 is one of my FAVOURITE shows, granted it is a tad repetitive with the world ending every now and again but it is just so well done, pees over spooks from a mile up.

Jack Bauer is the daddy and i've been watching it since the first series, incidently there is a media forum for this kind of discussion ;)

I would wholeheartedly disagree with that, nothing makes me want to watch the next episode more than lost.

When we were watching the box sets (we never watch it when it's on because the tension kills us) we'd wake up at 4am and say (really quickly) 'oh, you awake, can't sleep? me neither, shall we watch 24?' :p
 
24 is the best program ever made for a long time. It rocks. I bought Season 1, 2 and 3, box set on a whim like 2 Christmas's ago as i'd heard it was good, but never actually seen it myself. Absolutely brilliant series, ive since added to the collection with season 4 and 5 which just got better and better.

Just cant wait till season 6 now!

lol I know, me and my bandmates are 24 addicts and bought Series 1 and 2 of the Spooks t'other day, watched the first episode, :p I suppose it's alright but in reality you want to watch all the other disaster/fbi programmes first (Alias, Spooks, etc) then watch 24 just to save the best until last so you can see how good it really is.
 
I knwo the feeling, i watched the entire box set in 3 days. Cant remeber the series. Its the one on sky three at the minute with the nuclear plants :p
 
24 is amazing, It's like one long hardcore movie! It's even better when you watch a whole season over 2 days, which is what I did with every season :cool:

24 kept me live and kicking whilst I was ill :o

Spooks is on a different level to 24, it doesn't have the budget or the actors but it still manages to pull of a very respectable series imo but its never going to be as good as 24, well worth a watch though as its a nice change to see english spies as aposed to all this american tosh ;)
 
I love 24, although it actually almost killed me at one point.

I watched Day 1 + Day 2 back to back, no breaks, only toilet breaks.

Needless to say i looked awful and had really bad headaches afterwards, and had that feeling that i was actually Jack Bauer, then it fades away and everything is crap and boring again :(

Never got beyond the first season where I spent the majority of each episode shouting at the TV hoping that someone would kill his wife and daughter for being so stupid. :mad:
 
Best show ever, bought the series 1 DVD on a whim when I saw people raving about it on this very forum, I expected it to disappoint and end up on ebay - how wrong I was.

I moaned at my missus to watch it loads of times and she kept dismissing it as a boys programme she wouldn't like, then she'd skulk off and watch Big Brother or some other cack. One day she got really bored and stuck it on, three weeks later she'd watched the first four seasons..

Lost series one was great, approaching 24 levels but series 2 was so-so, too much filler and carrot dangling.

Spooks - has it's moments but there's quite a few dull episodes, one awful one springs to mind was the young black kid on the wrong side of the rails, comitting crime who was a genius hacker capable of defeating any alarm system made and helped out mi5, yaaawn.
