Don't forget the Hyundai W240.

bit of backlight bleed with my TN panel (as you'd expect) but nothing to worry about.

Great response time and no input lag.

On top of that it has DVI, VGA, HDMI and component.

Stand has full height adjustment and even rotates into portrait.

PVA versions are meant to be nice too but if speeds what you need then the TN's probably the one to go for. And on top of that it's just over half your budget @ £340. :)

pretty much the same thing, but the 2493HM has been updated with a higher dynamic contrast ratio. Debatable as to whether that is of much use, or if anyone really uses it! i reviewed the SM245B here which might help. Bare in mind both those Samsung models are TN Film based so you will have restrictions in terms of viewing angles especially with the technology. Input lag and responsiveness tend to be good from the 24" TN Film models though, but response time isn't really any better than the 6ms G2G P-MVA / S-PVA models around like the afformentioned BenQ FP241W.

Badass, out of the Samsung SM245B, Dell 2407WFP-HC and ViewSonic VX2435WM you have reviewed, which one would you recommend?

BTW, any ideas why OCUK doesn't stock the ViewSonic?

It depends on the use really. Aside from the ghosting issue, the Dell 2407WFP-HC was a fantastic screen, and offers very good ergonomics, connectivity and performance all round really. The 2408WFP might be a better bet now, as it's free from the ghosting issue. i'm testing the 2408WFP over the next few days. The Samsung was very good, but viewing angles were frustrating. The Viewsonic was quite good too, but lacked the ergonomics and connectivity of the Dell.
 
I'd stay away from the latest Dells tbh. The 2408 apparently has bad lag issues and the 2407-HC has ghosting problems.

They peaked with the 2407 A04 and have gone downhill since then imo.
