Afternoon all

Can anyone point me towards a monitor to use with my Xbox one s.

Looking for best bang for buck not high end.

24 or 27"

Will only be used for call of duty

Cheers

Thanks , looks a bit old to me would have thought a newer model would have been better specced?

What kind of spec did you imagine, and what is your budget?

Thanks, that was around the right budget, I wasn't picking it apart I just though tech might have moved on in 2 years?

From the reading I have done I only need a 1080p @ 60hz as it's for Xbox one s.

This was on my research list ;
iiyama G2530HSU-B1 24.5" G-Master HD LED Gaming Monitor with FreeSync and USB - Black

That's definitely a worse monitor. It's TN for a start, vs VA on the Samsung which will be more vibrant and superior contrast and blacks. It's also 2.5" smaller... that's never a good thing ;) Unless you simply don't have the space.

Thanks, I do have the space but thought the sweet spot was 24 for gaming when you are literally inches away from the screen.

I can find lots of information on TN or ips but very little on VA.

:)

So i see this oine has dropped from £250 to £200 today :
Samsung C27F591FDU

Not sure i like the silver but seems its a little bit upgraded from the model posted above?

Personally I'd opt for the Samsung. At that price it's hard to ignore. A curve is nice... it may seem odd at first but you get used to it quickly and becomes something you miss if you revert back to a flat screen. Definitely aids immersion. How far are you actually sitting from it? 24" is fine, but I think you will appreciate the extra size of 27". You'd have to be sitting crazy close for it to be TOO big.

Thanks for the comments thing I'll go for the Sammy just which one.

I am sitting as you would at a work desk maybe a little further away.

Of the two I'd go with the newer one. You're definitely not going to be using this for PC at all? I would just suggest if so then you could get 1440p for this price.
