Season 6 was a bloody joke, not to put too fine a point on it. And the ending was the most feeble yet. They've totally run out of ideas and it's sad to see the show limping on and getting more and more laughable.

(I'll still watch the next season though, naturally :p)

Agreed. I thought the ending was very poor but then again I suppose it has gone on for six seasons. I wonder how many times Jack is going to leave CTU though?

God knows. To be honest I thought Jack acted foolishly this series. He risked WW3 for the sake of ONE PERSON, on two occasions.

(spoiler alert)

First with Audrey, and then in rescuing Josh at the end. And why didn't the Russians query what the helicopter was doing there? Jack could have jeopardised everything and all for one person. He also said something like CTU wouldn't or shouldn't sacrifice one person like that - even though in season 3 he personally shot Ryan Chapelle dead for that very reason. So let's see, Jack is now a hypocrite and he put two individuals ahead of the well being of his country and millions of American lives. Very patriotic, not.

I think that's how he's changed though, I think that's what China has done to him. I can see him turning against the US as the conversation with Heller at the end of Season 6 summed up exactly what he thought imo.
