2400 or 3000 DDR4?

HI,
A quick question. If I am to get the best long term solution for my new X99 980Ti PC, am I better to go for 16GB 3000mhz ram, or 32GB 2400mhz ram? I'm looking at the differences in price for the avenir flashy led sticks!

The difference in system performance will not be much between 2400 and 3000. Think the sweet spot is 2666Mhz (from benchmarks when X99 first hit) for X99 performance but the 3000Mhz stuff does not cost that much more but having 32GB is better than 16GB for the long term.
