2407 +8800gts res

[9zap]

Hi there

Before I make a purchase on the 2407 can anyone with a 8800gts 320mb confirm how this card runs games at the native res ..is it ok for most of the modern games? or do you have to turn it down a bit res wise.

I assume you mean the 8800 GTS? If so I have one and I'm happy with playing games at native res with this card. Although if you want to play with all eye candy and no drop in frame rates you might want to get the 640MB version. I've found the 320 MB fine but I wouldn't consider myself to be a serious gamer.

You'd be better off with the 640mb version at that resolution i reckon.

yeh *edit* on the 800..yeh 8800gts well i already own a 320mb one and I need to get a new screen next ,I guess I can always drop it down a notch im scoring over 11k in 3d mark 06 so my rig is pretty quick, but if your happy with it then thats fine by me im not to serious a gamer have my moments but i do like fluid play and decent fps cant be doing with jerkovison

I have an 8800 gts (320mb) and its clearly not capable of high fps @ 1900x1200 on lots of games that spring to mind. Its very good for 1680x1050 or lower though. Should be v good on your 640mb version i think.
