Hi guys,

Looking to buy a 24' monitor mainly for gaming but some Photoshop and general PC use (watching HD movies, browsing etc etc).

Looking at these two at the minute:

BenQ G2420HDBL

Samsung B2430H

There is about £1 differen between the two; what would people reccommend? From my understanding the BenQ is quite "old" in that its been around a long time! But its also got 47 rave reviews! Any help on deciding guys?

I,m considering buying the samsung for Xbox 360 use. I would also like some info on the Benq and samsung which would be best etc..

The samsung has HDMi with audio pass through and the Benq only has Dvi. Would a HDMi to DVi lead work ok with the 360..?

I'd get the samsung, although since you're using photoshop I'm inclined to say save up and buy a Dell U series monitor

I use PS rarely. The main emphasis would be on gaming - is there really a massive difference between 5ms and 2ms response times, as both of these are 5ms?

It's not a noticeable, mines a 5ms response time and games play perfect on it, not stutters or slow motion jerking.

:) Had to make the decision! Seems the Samsung > Liyama. But theres not a huge amount of information out there on both! Should be better than this 5 year old Belinea 19" TFT regardless! lol
